Got some pics from the show. Interesting they included a self bailing system of sorts so some thought into offshore use. I wasnt the only person there asking about twins....lol. boat show price of just over 200k.

The bow is actually no bigger than my R7 and behind the wheel it doesnt feel like a huge boat. Cabin is useless. Basically an oversized toilet. Very roomy. Infinity head unit. 2 subs.

Did that boat have the ugly power top on it? I hope so or the generic A29 image on the display would annoy the hell out of me.

I noticed that too.....it is the newer style pipes but still not the big hard top. I actually like the hard top. And yes they should modify display to look like your boat though not sure how practical that is. That being said spending 200k+ on a boat is anything but practical.

Completely practical. All Teslas do it.

True. But remember Tesla is a tech company that makes cars.
Cobalt is a boat company trying to integrate tech.

Certainly doable but not as inherently easy as Tesla tech.

Yeah, I think the bigger issue is that Tesla builds their own computers and writes their own code and Cobalt sources it all from Garmin (or TomTom or whoever).

Integration is hard. Just ask Ford or GM or, uhh, Boeing.

C'mon, on a 200k+ boat they can get 3 or 4 splash screens made up of different tower configurations, or maybe even so far as to get the colors right...

Pleasure boats have a long way to go when it comes to technology, innovation and fit & finish. Wake boats are setting the standard! Looking at what Nautique is offering with their new Paragon boats is amazing! The interface at the helm is completely custom in every way - not just a "glass cockpit" with Garmin screens. The stereo options are incredible. Seadek is everywhere throughout the entire boat - even under the seat storage compartments. Hydraulic tower, stern thruster, ingenious seating (especially in the back of the boat), and on and on. They're expensive, but not much more then a well optioned A29. The technology is here. It's a matter of going a step further to offer your customers the best and to set Cobalt apart from its competitors.

I completely agree with you on this. The Paragon series is unreal in person. Hell, even the regular G25 and G23's are insanely plush. They are truly pushing the boundaries with technology on that size of boat. I'm sure Cobalt will follow suit eventually...maybe in the new R series? But you would think it would have happened with their new Flagship Bowrider in the A29.
