My 72 bow rider has a soft spot were the previous owner went with plastic tank. the problem is they installed a lousy piece of plywood that just weathered out and is gotten soft.
What would be the best material to replace plywood with that is better for solid marine floor.

What about a marine specific plywood that is meant to be in a wet environment. I think I have heard a sheet is 120$ or so

I would agree with aj.
We have a few good projects going on right now and they should chime in also.

Dale just make sure if you use treated plywood that it does not come in contact with any aluminum whatsoever. The chemicals counteract and are caustic. Look it up and you'll see lots of info on it.

I'm in the process of replacing part of the floor and cover over my gas tank also but I know just enough about it to get myself in trouble. What I know about it I've picked up from guys on here...nolaboat99 mostly and utube videos. I hope to have some more pics to put on here next week but the way my projects go who knows for sure. I do know that the floor in my 19BR is not marine plywood but it is encapsulated in resin and glass mat so it is waterproof but part of the floor did rot out around the edge in front of the rear seat where everyone got in and out of the water.
