I guess I should start...
Home is in Richmond Hill, just north of Toronto. Bought my ‘new to me’ 2007 Cobalt 212 last spring. Ended up buying it from a Cobalt service provider based out of Lake Conroe in Texas. BBP was helpful and held my hand (and helped spend my money) along the way.
The whole family loves the Cobalt, though I may have a few footitis already. Yes, I look at 242s and 262s a lot!
We boat in Muskoka. Home port is East Bay Landing on Lake Muskoka.

I'm half Viking and half Mexican, which means I'm always one bad decision away from becoming the most violent person in the room. Doesnt that count?

Not sure what exactly I qualify as an American-Canadian-Estonian. I was born in Maryland. I lived there until I was 26, then moved to Toronto, because I had been dating my wife and the weekend trips between Maryland and Toronto were getting dangerous (did 10 weekends in row while dating, too many gravel alarms woke me up during the weekend commutes). Been in Canada since 91 and spent 5 years living in Estonia (97-02) as well. Both wife and I are of Estonia decent (our parents were born there). Got 5 kids, 4 in university as of the fall but I have been saving up for a boat for the last five years. I cracked open my clay pot boat fund last August and it had $18K in it. Reviewed all the manufacturers and settled on Cobalt as a quality boat that I would appreciate as a used purchase. Started off looking at 206's and finally focused on 240 and 246 models primarily for the size (my family and the head - which with a bbq, can we anchor and have beers???) Had put deposits on boats in Florida, NC and Nevada that didn't pan out, but one became available in Maryland a few weeks ago on same weekend that I was visiting my brother for his daughter's college graduation party. Ended up buying it and boat fund basically had to double to cover the extra length. Boat is a 2004 Cobalt 240 w/496 Mag B3 and needs some interior TLC, but the bones are good. I am still wrestling with getting my boat trailer licensed as the MTO will not accept letter from manufacturer to determine dry weight of boat. She has a navy blue hull and the front runner for boat names is Oeselian, which is reference historically to Estonian Vikings from the Estonian island of Saaremaa, where my father was born and now buried.
I will primarily boating on Lake Cecebe near Magnetawan, Ontario. The boat will be trailer-ed, so it will see Georgian Bay, Honey Harbour, Lake Simcoe, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie as I have cousins, friends with cottages on those waterways.
So in summary, I am US citizen landed in Canada of Estonian descent. Hopefully, I qualify as a honourary Canadian (see I added the extra "u"). Happy to be a Cobalt owner and looking forward to many years of boating here in Canada. Cheers!

So we are up to 2 and 3/4 canadians? .....or something close to that?
Maybe one (or a half) of them would shed some light on the snow they had this morning up there....on June 26th!
