Another Texas Boat

Another Texas boy. Thought I'd make my first post while the spam gets cleaned up. This is my first Cobalt, or boat for that matter, and I think I found the perfect starter boat for me. I haven't seen many (any) 206 owners on here, but I'm sure they are here. It has the 5.0 Gi which is perfect for my family of 4, but as my kids grow I'm going to need something bigger.

It's a 2001, but was owned by a pilot prior to me who took immaculate care of it. I've had it since January of '17 and have already bent up 2 props that were repaired. one was completely my fault by trimming down too early because I was used to deeper ramps and the other is still a mystery. Limped though the last half of the season with a starter that would freeze, but a hammer made short work of that problem for a while unitl I replaced it this off season.

I live closest to Travis, but drag it around to 3 other lakes in the area as well. That's one of the main reasons I opted for the smaller boat.

First picture, I hope, is my family on Lake LBJ last season.

Second is from this Saturday after a fresh coat of wax. Ready for the season.

Yeah, I grew up around pilots and they always took the best care of their toys.

I know the speedometer is not the most accurate, but mine is pretty close as compared to my gps. This is about the best I can get at WOT, it was a lot of fun getting there. Wish I got the tac in the picture.

Sorry for the multiple posts. One with the flag I fly and our tube. If anyone has a small and big kid they drag around I highly suggest this one. Little one can sit in it and you add an insert if the big kid wants to ride on top.

Welcome to the group from another Texan! I'm on Lake Travis as well. Perhaps you, me, and Driller can all meet up sometime this summer.

Welcome from California!!

Nice to see " witnesses protection" isn't interfering with your boating. Sorry.. too soon?

It's getting to tube season here so thanks for the share.. we're always looking at good compact sit down versions. I like the 3 persons type

That speed looked good by your pic so it looks like your good!👍🏼
