Photo Album/Instagram

It seems everyone enjoys seeing photos of everyones boats and members enjoy sharing them. However, there is no collection area to view all the photos without scrolling back through topic threads. I'm happy to set up an Instagram account where members, if on Instagram, could send in photos to be posted on the page. They could be dm'd to be posted or tagged and I could repost. Who can't get enough seeing photos of our beautiful Cobalts anyway.
Anyway happy for some feedback if this is something the group would be interested in.

Could you do a photo bucket instead? I don't have either accounts. I love the thought of this. Or do we just do a picture only thread no words?

I was gonna chime in and say that's what we attempt to do with our monthly picture threads, we just derail them faster than BB's 220.

True. That's why if we make one with no follow up posts it might work.

A single picture thread... idk.
There's a solution here somewhere, I'd just rather not link to the gram. TBH that's one of the major reasons some of us are here and not on the FB site.

Good idea!
I would add a " likes" check as well as we have in chat. Keep it simple?

I think a thread for pictures only could work. Also a fan of being able to add a like button on threads as well.

This is your thread start it out and put no comments in the title. But maybe in with the pictures we could add a description of what we are posting along with the picture?

Btw....i love a picture share site/thread. My preference would be a place with no file size limitation.

Interesting.... Everything you guys are "wishing for" is on the other Cobalt forum, Club Cobalt.
www.clubcobalt.net The format/software/host of that forum allows more pictures and easier insertion, has a "Like" selection on each post and in my opinion, is more user-friendly.
I'm an administrator on that forum but I will admit, I like the activity on this forum much better. The owner of that forum started it up and then about a year later bought a new business that has left him unable to participate. There are about 300 members on Club Cobalt. About a month ago I suggested to the Club Cobalt owner that maybe the 2 forums should be combined. He agreed that it was a good idea and even went so far as to look up Cobalt Chat and discovered he and John only live a few miles away from each other. I have also sent John a couple of PMs on this topic but have never received a response.
Hopefully John will see this and look at this as a viable alternative. If you figure there are 50-100 dual members, combining would bring a couple hundred new members, some different topics and new advertisers. FWIW....

To be clear.... I am not advocating anyone leave this forum and join the other, and vice versa. I truly believe we would all be best served by combining 2 great forums and the result would be one outstanding forum serving all.

That's because that site blows and it's full of a buncha nerds.
I'm just kidding, we'd love to have them.
