Site Suggestion Box

Just a suggestion, but it may not be a bad idea to restrict the viewing of attachments to only logged in users. You can call me paranoid if you want, but the site is starting to get more and more traffic. It's great for the site, but also means more stranger danger and bots. Just something to think about?

Is your suggestion also a suggestion box? 2x's the suggestions for half the post! Nicely done.
For reals the attachment viewing is a good idea. I post my kids on here occasionally and there's def some creeps out there. Plus my water lily pic.

I've been hesitant to post any pics of the family and guest because I worry a little. Not a lot, but in today's world you never know.

I guess I'm not worried too much. This is a picture of me before I joined Cobalt chat and tamed down quite a bit.

This sub-forum makes a pretty good suggestion box - I'll consider amending the title to reflect that. Keep in mind many suggestions are beyond the limitations of our forum software, and we're simply not sizable enough to afford custom-anything I can't do myself.
As for the protecting uploads from unregistered users, I don't think it will cut down on spammers much, but I still see the value in it. I'll take a look,

Guest permissions have been changed so you have to join to view/download attachments. We'll see how it works - hopefully it encourages prospective members to join rather than discouraging guests looking for quick answers or ideas.
