Does the Forward Drive volvo interfere with boat lift?

I am looking at either the R5 Surf or the R7 surf. I am concerned that my lift will hit the forward drive on the surf boat. Has anybody had any experience with this? I got some measurements this morning and heading to the lake tomorrow to give it a best guess but any advice would be great.

I just took delivery a few days ago on a new R5surf and a Shorestation 7,500 lb lift. They installed a bow stop on the lift and the forward drive is a good 24”-30” from the rear lift crossbar when docked. I’ll take some pictures if you want when we get up to the lake later today or tomorrow morning.

I have a R7 surf on Hydrohoist 10,000Ul. I stern the boat it over the lift and have not had an issue. That being said they set it specifically to stern in and it drops a little lower that a normal setup.

Looking good Sooner!

I would have bet money you couldn't back in on a standard low arm lift with a forward drive. That's good info to know.

Nice sooner. Looks as planned for long arm drop in the hoist. Have you trimmed the drive in once up to insure if you forgot to trim it will clear going up?

Just curious as I've forgotten my routine and the next day I see my drives close

My routine is to trim it up as I come in based on the recommendation of the installer. However, in the real world boat full of people, windy conditions, making sure board racks are in, and lots of people on board I have forgot on occassion. It has never hit but sure looks closer than what I would prefer.
