Our family recently purchased a 2015 220 WSS. After a maiden voyage on Lake Union and Lake Washington we’ve (especially my wife and our two kids) confirmed it’s everything we ever wanted, and more – finally and thankfully!
Background: Last year I thought I purchased the boat of our dreams. After over a year of intense research I purchased/shipped a low hour Scout Abaco 242 from the East coast. The boat was incredible; however, my family never warmed up to it. I guess it was only the boat of my dreams. After selling it a few weeks back I made sure to properly (and wisely) bring along the family on the next boat buying decision. Here’s the result. Boating is truly fun again.
I’m excited to join this insightful forum (and do have questions that I’ll sprinkle throughout the topics). In the meantime, I appreciate being a part of the Cobalt community.

Congrats and welcome to the Cobalt Chat family. Love the looks of your boat. What power does she have. Also pay some pictures of your prev boat and why the family didn't like it? I see you're son is wearing a hyperlite life jacket. I'm a big fan of them.

Hey colecacola, welcome to the Cobalt chat forum. So glad you found us!
Thank you for posting those pics. You’re going to make some great memories with your family on that WSS series. Looking forward to even more pics with those big smiles on their faces.
Btw, with that username, I take it Pepsi products are banned on your boat?.
Again, welcome aboard mate.

Thanks, all, for your welcomes and kind words. It’s great to see all the Cobalt owners from across such a wide geographical area. I’ll attempt to answer your questions.
We purchased it from a private owner who originally purchased it from Seattle Boat Company. I did lean on Seattle Boat Company to answer my in-depth questions (I over research every buying decision). They were fantastic to work with (as was the seller). We’ve decided to move it from the SkyLaunch near Seattle Boat Company and keep it on its trailer (closer to our home and I like the freedom of taking it to different lakes).
It has the Volvo 5.0 270 hp Duoprop. Other options include the air compressor, after walk through carpet, bow and cockpit covers, batter switch dual with ACR, depth and water/air temp gauge package, aft walk through gate, LED interior accent lighting, automatic fire extinguisher system, S sport seating, and flip down swim step. Overall, it came with most of the options I would have ordered from the factory.
I’ll look for pics of our previous boat. My wife didn’t like the cuddy (she said it was wasted space), wanted more comfortable seating and felt, with the hardtop and larger size, it was more intimidating to trailer and launch. She was also annoyed that the kids always wanted to walk above the cuddy rather than stay in the boat. I’m originally from Minnesota and grew up on a lake fishing and skiing and wanted an all-purpose boat that could also take us out on The Sound. However, with twin seven-year-olds and all their activities it makes more sense to own a boat for quick afternoon trips rather than all-day and overnight off shore excursions.
Pepsi vs. Coke…name background: Many years ago my black lab was named Cole. His registered name was Cole Cacola (I couldn’t think of anything better at the time). Over the years I’ve kept his name for online forums (as a tribute - we really miss him). I prefer drinking and playing in water.

More importantly than our old boat, here's several of the 220 WSS on the way back to storage/it's new home (with Elk watching - while I was putting the covers on).
