Speaker Color Matching

So the original to the boat SubWoofer finally died this weekend. I originally thought it was an amp issue, and it took forever to figure out what was really going on b/c the sub would work intermediately. Finally pulled the sub out and found this:

So its time to upgrade, and Katie and I are stressing about subwoofer color of all things. The interior of the boat is brown, and we will most likely replace all the speakers in the coming off seasons. I love the look of the black sub, and think it would look awesome against the white interior of the boat. The problem is nothing on the boat is black, and I think the black would look bad against the brown? But then again the white speaker on the white boat interior is just going to blend in I think.

So since the Nauti's cant figure this out we turn to you cobalt chat. What should we order?

Where is your sub. They all Make a thin one.

It sits in front of the passenger seat below the glove box just like yours. That JL isn't a marine sub, since ours sits right in front of my designated seat it does get wet. I would something at least water resistant. The WetSounds are much narrower, may just have to go /w that.

I installed the JL gray speakers 6 x 6-1/2" including the 10"sub. Mine look great with the tan interior. They come with different colored tabs (red included) to change out the JL audio. I left mine black because they didn't have blue.

Thanks Driller - that does look really good - could sway us to going grey. I am still a little conflicted, I don't want to like wet sounds, but I do like the specs on their 10in sub - 2ohm/300 watts - beats the comparable JL.

I am going to have to get to the boat and get some measurements to see if I can make the JL fit before we make a decision.
