2002 Cobalt 262 that was my dad's that I have now inherited. Really fun boat to drive. Needs a good detailing, but is otherwise in great shape.

Not the greatest pictures, but you get the idea.

Welcome from Missouri! I have your twin just in Candied red. What is powering your 262? And where will you primarily be using it? Here is a pic of mine

I love that color scheme on your boat. Mine has the same engine as yours -- Volvo Penta 8.1. 375 hp with the duo prop. I will primarily be using it in Lake Guntersville in North Alabama.

Hey cwiginton, welcome to the cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

.....and yeeeeehawwwww.....another 260 series owner. You're going to love the storage, handling and power in that boat. She'll be turning a lot of heads too.

After cleaning her up, you'll want to switch out the plastic cup holder for stainless. Instant modern look upgrade.

Thanks for posting pics. The more the merrier.

...and again, welcome aboard mate!

.

Congrats and welcome to the Chat. You will have a friend in Nola here. He traveled to Lake Guntersville to watch the hydro races.

Pretty boat and welcome from SE Louisiana. I was on Lake Guntersville in June for Hydrofest. It was my first time there and we were awed by how beautiful it is there. We are hoping to come back next year if they have the races again.

Welcome from Oklahoma and a fellow 262 owner! It is a fun boat to drive and own. Congratulations, and now let us help you with upgrading to make it your own. We're kinda good at that..

Alright Ytmsn, I'll bite. Other than the cupholder upgrade suggested by AsLan7, what would be your first upgrade to the 262 (other than a new sound system, which is already on my list of things to do)?

Ha! Bite me BB!

It seems most of us end up putting LED lighting in as well as underwater lights. If my lights aren't on at night I feel like part of my boat is missing. So I would say (outside of a new sound system) lighting would be my next biggest thing.

Seadeck, Aquamarine or some type of similar material on the swimdeck is really nice too...

Welcome from Illinois. Doesn't the 8.1 put out 415hp? The Mercruiser variant does. Beautiful boat, does that arch fold down?

Cup holder upgrade seems to be the gateway drug for modding Cobalts, lol. I'm going for ECU tuning next.

Get some bumpers on the boat!

Actually, I think the first thing I would do is invest in a couple of 8" bumpers before I tied up to another dock! 😁
