Hey opboat18, welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Thanks for posting a pic. Is this your first Cobalt? I can’t tell but I see you have the extra extended swim platform. Is that OEM?

Welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from Wisconsin. Ok I have to ask. Why is your boat covered at the gas dock. Lol

Thank you for the warm welcome! First Cobalt, yes .. actually first boat! Grew up on the water, but never a boat owner until now. Swim platform is OEM. Planning on adding gator step or seadek this spring. Also, replacing the carpet with sea grass type and redoing the upholstery soon.

Good catch! This was Wednesday morning after Labor Day and the impeller had exploded sometime over the weekend resulting in the idle control sensor melting. Fortunately there was literally no traffic on the water.

That would suck. Not sure how the impeller affects the iac motor? Did it get that hot. That's a sharp boat though and welcome to the black boat brigade 🛥️

Yeah, the dealer said it got pretty toasty. Not enough to do any major damage though .. thank goodness!

That's good. How long have you owned her. Do you trailer her or keep her on a lift on that lake? We can't wait to help you sirens money on her. What are some of your wishes.

Welcome from St. Louis! Great looking boat you have there! I’ve got sea grass carpet in my boat as well. And seadek on my swim platform and I love it.

Here is the “fun” stat. I had just bought the boat Wednesday before Labor Day. So ... first weekend out resulted in a $800+ service invoice. Welcome to boat ownership! We plan to keep her in a lift this coming season.

Hopefully that fun Stat of that kind is your last one. Now go over all maint before putting her back in that water so you know where you stand with the maint on the boat. I tell every new owner that bought a boat from me to change the impeller. Change the oil and fuel separator and drive oil. Another great thing you can add which I think is a must on the b3 is a drive shower.
