I’m looking to purchase a used R5 and am trying to find the total length of the boat plus the trailer. I’ve recently purchase a lake house that has a detached garage that is 24x30. Trying to find out if it’s going to fit. I know it depends on the type of trailer so I’m looking for some rough estimates.

The boat is 25ft 8 inch. I take it you have up to 30 ft. Right?

Haven’t actually measured the inside to know if it was framed with 2x4 or 2x6’s, but I’ll conservatively say it’s probaly useable 29’.

I'm guessing you already checked that your garage door is tall enough.

If you go fast enough any door is tall enough.

Small details you don’t think about. Height? I think that will be an issue since it’s a standard size garage door.

My ‘07 232 (same size as a 242) is about the same length as an R5. It is just a tad over 30’ with the trailer and the windshield BARELY fits under a 9’ door. I’m thinking your garage won’t be long enough. Heres my boat backed up to a normal sized door.
