Seat slides fore/aft

Another question on my 2006 220: the passenger seat adjusts fore and aft, but it won't stay in position. Once the boat starts, the seat slides backwards from inertia. The adjuster lever twists a rod with teeth on it that are supposed to mesh with a stationary piece to keep the seat in place. I don't know if the teeth are worn down (unlikely that they all would be) or the stationary piece needs to be replaced.
I might have a pic after this weekend.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks in advance...

Just remove the seat from its base. It comes up easy. Loosen the knob that prevents it from turning. Then flip the seat upside down. That track comes off easy if you need to but I'm sure it's just full of gunk and junk. Get in there with a degreaser or brake cleaner and just clean it out. If the teeth are worn just replace it. They are avail from the suppliers.

Midlifecrisis - if you replace the part, which i think you should do after 12+ years of use, please post source, P/N, etc.. I don't have your problem but mine are just worn. (My seats are under shrink wrap/snow, so i don't have access)

This was the part: Garelick Millennium Series seat slide. This was the OEM part. There are a few models based on which side the lever is on, etc. It could not have been easier to change out. The seat just pulls straight up, the seat slide is held on with four bolts into the seat bottom. Ten minute job.

Yup, easy job, just replace them if more then then 10 years old ..just don't twist-off the bolt hex heads like I did for 3 of the 8 bolts then its not a easy job

OH, I think the OEM put thread lock on the threads that's why three of the hex heads twisted-off. The fix is drill new holes adjacent and install thread inserts. good luck
