Cobalt family
I just recently bought my first Cobalt which can honestly say ...it has been a long time coming. I have been around Cobalts for years and have always admired them but was never in the position to buying one until now. I am a previous Chaparral owner which are great boats but nothing compared to a Cobalt. That being said I am in a bit of a dilemma. After seeing the Cobalt I just purchased, I was so excited that I didnt even check to see if it had the ski pylon / pole inside. And unfortunately the previous owner had no clue where it was as they did not use it for pulling. Yes this is a big miss on my part and clearly my emotions got the best of me. So my issue is that Cobalt no longer manufacturers these nor do they have any in stock so I am wondering where in the world I would go to find a replacement pole? I even asked Cobalt for specs on the pylon ...which they didnt have. My thought is that I could have one made? I have already reached out to an on-line supplier which they couldnt help. I also have a local dealer looking for one. I will say it again.....yes I am in idiot for not checking beforehand.
Any help or thoughts ?
Thanks in advance and glad to be a part of the family!

Call around to regional dealers, they may have NOS in their inventory that Cobalt wouldn't have visibility to.

The 262 boys will chime in. It's in one of the boats compartments.

Thanks "akorcovelos". I have calls into several different dealers / suppliers....waiting to hear back. Crazy because I thought this part would be easy to come by. I might have to find a fabricator to make one for me, provided I can get the specs on the pylon.
Thanks again

Thanks Big Block Power. Lol....I made sure to check every compartment in the boat before posting on this forum. Trust me I didnt want to be "that guy". The previous owners (retired) had the boat for 5 years and only used the boat for pleasure cruising so they never checked for the pylon either. I have a feeling its with the original owners who nobody knows where they are? Good times..........

Send a pm message to jcramer. If he doesn't answer back let us know we have his number. He may have one for you. Otherwise some of these 262 guys are just using the ski hole for a umbrella maybe they will sells theres. Lol
Also go through the 262 for sale ads and hit those guys up. They might let it go. Money talks.

Yes, that's going to be a tough find SB. My first thoughts were JRCramer's "parts" boat but sounds like that option is off the table. It's a long shot but you could email some of the other for sale 260 series Cobalt owner's on Boat Trader. You never know if one wants to sell theirs at the "right" price. That's what I was doing while trying to locate aft filler cushions until JRCramer's boat showed up.
I'm surprised Cobalt does not have any specs on that ski pylon. Who did you talk to in Neodesha? We could have asked around for you when we were down there in December.
I've only seen one pop up on eBay a few years ago. We shall keep an eye out.
Oh, and welcome aboard mate!

Even if someone has one they're not willing to sell, it sounds like some detailed pictures or measurements could be helpful here.
Also, I don't see exactly what you're looking for, but I'd call these guys too if you haven't already:

That's who I thought. I searched them this morning. Nothing. A7 do you have the picture of yours handy. Otherwise I could search here for it. I know it's posted somewhere on here.

I’ll bet sliderule could do one if he does the umbrella stand for the 262-282. His R series stands are seriously fabbed. Could be version 2.0 as I’m sure there’s a ton missing as Ytmsn stated.

This is the best shot I got from my 262.
I can always provide dimensions once we pull our 263 out of storage next month.
