Yes and yes :) Impatiently waiting for a delivery update. Rented one on Turo last weekend for 2 days, it was a blast to drive. Unlike anything else I've driven before. That sealed the deal. Wifey even liked it...she wants one too 🤣 Giving up her tow vehicle means we'd need a slip at the lake....she's on board with that. WINS FOR EVERYONE!!!

Nice T550!!

....and yes, you can try to explain to others how fun this car is but until they test drive one, they’ll look at you with bewilderment and even craziness in their eyes.

Welcome to the club. :D

Nice! I’m thinking a model 3 will be my next car. But I’m years away from needing a new ride.

I’m just waiting for them to improve the range a little bit more so I know I can drive to work and back then make it to the lake on a single charge.

I know their SUV is pretty fast, but not as fast as my c63. So I'm guessing their cars must be fun. How are they in corners ?

Congratulations T55000000! Very cool and fun to drive. Torque is amazing! How come I see you plotting a Hideaway hitch?

The future for all of us.
Congrats. I definitely like the style of a Tesla.

Nice pics! You're looking the S I'm assuming? Seems like a lot of people look at the Teslas in the same light as a Nissan Leaf or similar. Hard to explain that it's a while different take on an EV. Hopefully a few rides will convince them otherwise :)

I'll be curious to see what my real world results are with range. This one is rated at 320-something I think, but reading the Tesla forums and adjusting for my driving style I'm expecting maybe 225-250 on a full charge.

I got to take a couple turns pretty quick and it did well. More body roll than my BMW, but overall not bad, and there's coilovers and bigger sway bars available in the aftermarket now that are supposed to really help with this.

The AWD Performance Model 3 does 3.1 sec 0-60 and 11.8 in the quarter mile. Should be fun :)

I think it could handle the 252...🤣

Shhhhhh! She needs a non-tow vehicle now so we can get a slip! I'll have to request one of the ones that doesn't sink boats in a storm though. I think those cost extra.

I test drove one in Palm Desert in December. It was a very impressive ride. The instantaneous acceleration takes a bit of getting used to. It is surprising to have that much torque under the pedal at any speed and the self driving features works exceptionally well (at least on the roads I test it on).

Like some others, I'm waiting for a car with a 500 mile range and a price tag under $35,000. I don't think it will be more than 3 or 4 years until we are there. Many manufacturers are entering the market in the next year or so.

Enjoy your new car.

I think you should hold out for the new roadster.

Yeah it did take a little bit to adjust to, especially with the regen braking. One pedal driving is cool though once I got the hang of it. We are heading back out to San Diego in June, planning to road trip the car and see how viable it is to travel on the supercharger network vs normal car.

Antsy for an update on the car, still no delivery date assigned yet, but only ordered a week ago. Crossing my.fingers for this week sometime, there's a few other people on the Tesla forums that ordered similar configurations earlier in March and got VINs assigned last week. If that pattern continues I should have a VIN in the second half of this week.

Now those are some specs I could live with! If only I had an extra $200k laying around....
