Last week I bought a 2018 CS22, this is replacing my Bentley Triton. I do all of my boating at Possum Kingdom Lake. I don't have any pictures to post yet. We take delivery on Friday the 12th. I would love to hear what everyone thinks about these boats. I am going into it blind without ever driving or being in one. My wife and I have always loved the look of the Cobalt's and what I from what I can find online, they are the best.

Hey TTU, welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
You’re going to really enjoy that CS22. Great size boat with a nice swim platform to boot. How’d you get her powered?
Did you go with the arch? I would think water sports is in your future.
And you are correct. Best built runabout boats on the planet.
Welcome aboard mate!
.

I got it with the V6-240 dual prop. I am hoping it is enough. Both my wife and I are 27, so you are correct in water sports. I like to wake board from time to time, my wife loves to slalom, and we have a 3 year old daughter that we are looking to start on skis this year.
Options,
Froward folding tower with bimini top.
Dual battery with charger.
Seagrass flooring.
Basic 6 speaker with transom remote.

Welcome! I assume you at least sat in one before buying it?? No doubt you’ll love it, but that’s some coin to drop sight unseen!

Welcome, and I like your style! I've bought a lot of stuff over the phone and always admire someone willing to take chance. In this case you have made huge step up.
Toons are nice to hang out on, relax, entertain, visit, yadayada. I really like a toon, but I would much rather own, operate and enjoy the ride and handling of my Cobalt, and hang out on my buddy's toon.
You'll see what I'm talking about very soon. With kids and water sports you will love dragging them around soooo much more! Congratulations, and welcome to the club.

Welcome, from Alabama! I too am getting a CS22. I saw one at the boat show. Same engine as yours (240), duo prop as well. Like you, I am hoping it is enough. My boat just got to the marina yesterday still in the shrink wrap. It will be ready in a few days but they have rain in the forecast for a solid week starting Thursday... it is nice owning a boat that you have never seen, lol.

Congrats and welcome. We'll the engine be powerful enough. Only you can tell us that when you try to pull each other up with a loaded boat. I am the worst Person to ask. Just ask bobrae I have a 1 track mind.
No way would I own a 22 ft boat with the smallest engine a manufacture installs. I recommend always going with the largest engine one has for a option. You never regret the largest. You will always regret the smallest. Just ask your wife. Opps sorry. Again congrats on becoming a cobalt snob.

Actually no, neither my wife nor I have have ever been in one. I researched for a solid two weeks, reading anything I could find with Cobalts name on it. In the end I couldn't find a more appealing boat that had the amazing reviews that the Cobalts had.

Exactly my point. I was already tired of being the buddy lol.

Welcome from Missouri and Table Rock Lake! I had looked at a cs23 about a year ago and really liked them. Ultimately decided I wanted something larger. But congrats on the purchase! I am sure you will love it! Especially coming from a toon

Yes I like the CS series as well as I feel it's the closest thing to my 220. You will love the boat. I hope the engine as well.

This is very true. I actually lied earlier by saying my wife and I are 27..... I am 27, but my wife is turning 30 in two weeks. I am buying this boat for "her birthday". (Don't ask me how I pulled that off). With that being said the reason we went with the smaller motor was they had it in stock, and came off of the MSRP by a little over 33%. So at the end of the day, it was just too good of a deal to pass up.
