Long time boater but just joined this forum. Bought my Cobalt R3 new a few years ago. She has been an amazing boat. Has the standard 300hp VolvoPenta. Options include trim tabs (which I love), docking lights (useless but they look cool), captains chair, chrome foot rest, flag, bow and stern filler cushions, dual batteries, upgraded carpet, quick-release fenders (love this option), rear stereo controls (don't use much), and rear tilt switch (essential if you trailer your boat). Glad to find an active Cobalt Owners Forum!

Welcome grandlakeokie! Another patriotic color scheme. I loce it!!!! :D

...and my experience parallels yours...with the exception of the transom stereo remote. Constantly using that during our water sports activities (mostly volume control).

Welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from California! Sharp color combo. How’s the dark hull for hiding scum and for cleaning? I think it’s tough looking but wonder.

Welcome from Illinois! Very nicely option boat, not over the top but all the things that would be 'must have' items for me.

Welcome from Missouri and Table Rock Lake. Nice looking R3 you have there! How does she handle Grand Lake?

I want to know why are you putting Auto gas in your boat? I would use the other pump. ⛽⛽

Thanks for the comments!

Dark hull shows water spots and lake gunk, but it cleans off easy enough. I really like the way the black comes around to the top of the boat at the stern, great styling by Cobalt.

The R3 handles Grand lake really well. As with most larger lakes you have to watch the chop when it's windy or if there are big cruisers throwing out monster wakes, but the Volvo engine is plenty of power for the R3 (at least for my needs).

I'm not sure why the marina had the Auto Gas sign on that pump, they only sell ethanol-free fuel there. Years ago some marinas on Grand Lake sold pre-mix fuel for 2 cycle outboards (but I haven't seen that done in many years), so that might be why the sign was there also.

We have a place on Tenkiller but have a few friends on Grand, and may come up one weekend. If we do I'll look you up!
