2nd Hidden HIN Number

Boats manufactured or imported on or after August 1, 1984, also have a duplicate secondary HIN somewhere on an unexposed location inside the boat or beneath a fitting or item of hardware. Has anyone ever come across the hidden HIN on their Cobalt?

Didn’t know this SM. Makes sense though.
I’ll have to look for this Easter egg on our boat.

I have heard it was engraved on the top portion of the deck when the two half's where put together. I would imagine its in a secrete squirrel spot or under something bolted down . Probably recommend for salvage in case the top deck pops loose?

My old boat must have been one of the first to do this, it was late '84 model and I found the hidden HIN behind one of the side upholstery panels. No idea where it would be on the Cobalt.
