Wake Board Tower on CS22

I have a CS22 with a factory wake board tower and this might be a dumb question.... But can I hook up a rope under the light to wake board behind?
I saw in another thread that a guy broke his going into a garage, so I started to second guess myself on if it is meant to be pull people or not.

that's the purpose of a wakeboard tower. Just make sure the rope is down on the actual tow point and not around the white light.

Yea towers and garages and lights being broke. Common issue. Ok to wakeboard from it. I wouldn't recommend tubing from it though.

All tower manuals say specifically not to tube off them, because if the tube submarines it can put so much load on the tower is damages the gel coat at the mounting feet or worse. Plus, tubes actually don't pull that well from a tower, much better from the transom eyes, don't ask how I know.

Thanks for the advice. I took it as a yes when I bought the boat, but never specifically asked.

Yes... wakeboardimg, knee boarding, & skiing are all fine from the tower.
Tubing is recommended from the ski pylon only due to submarining and side load effects created by the tube on the tower supports.

Good discussion
here.. (Scroll down to 9th thread entry).
