Bringing my 2005 Cuddy 255 to Lake Tahoe. I have the Bravo III drive with 28P 3 blade props on it now and was looking for advice for the right prop. Dual 4 blade? 4 blade front and 3 blade rear? Dual 3 blade?
Will a 26P work?
Thanks

Hello ADPIV. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
What is the ratio stamped on your outdrive? That will help. Normally a three blade is best on the Bravo III.
Again, welcome aboard mate!

Matt where are you. I bet you might even want to find a set of 24 3x3 props. It's this a permanent set? Where did the boat come from.? Sea level I'm guessing

I’m on the same page as that elevation is a special order outdrive and prop set from most local dealers.
Get a set of 22 ( water sports) or 24 ( lemonade hopping, and just cruising). If you get used ones have them cleaned and balanced and you’ll enjoy Tahoe without straining your Cobalt.
So?
Pics?
Pictures?
Stick drawing? We would love to see it!

The cuddy is a bit heavier than my 252, but it came with 26p 3x3 props and they are a perfect blend of overall performance/watersports/cruising. What engine does it have?

Thanks for the welcome. My B3 is a 2.20 and has 28P props now. I am in Sacramento. I found a set of 26P, 4 blade front and 3 blade rear, I'm told these will be best for High Altitude Lake Tahoe 6225'. If anybody has a different opinion I would love to hear, this is my first I/O boat so any advice would be much appreciated.

2.20 is a optional ratio for high elevation. It may have been ordered for Tahoe originally.
As we mentioned it was paired with a 24 pitch set. So possibly it may be a little lazy and struggle with 26 pitch. Which will result in higher load strains on everything since your throttle input will have to be excessive.
I’d keep looking for a 24p . Your drivetrain will thank you
