Thursdays are boat drags at Blarney Island. We try to go every week, and with Mother Nature pissing in our Cheerios all spring this was the first event of the season. Couple highlights I thought I’d share because, well, DRAG BOATS!

Weather was sketchy, and windy, so a lot of the fast boats didn’t turn out, but still plenty of 100+mph runs tonight.

Turned out to be a great night, can’t wait until next week. Side note: I HATE trailering! I miss my wet slip, don’t know how long I can hold out before I start leaving it in the water again.

One last creeper shot I made Mrs. akor take on the way home. A few seconds after these pics the lady friend in the bow confirmed the DP status of a Cobalt, literally... the kids had many questions. Thankfully I couldn’t hear them over the Captains Call, big block saves the day yet again!

Great pics akor. Looks like an amazing day with great entertainment.
The videos get your blood pumping with HP. Your boy is hooked...especially with him enjoying the smell of octane in the evening.
Nice way to kick off your boating season!

I don’t remember the part in Titanic when she’s dancing in her underwear, but it’s a long movie and it’s been a while.

They have something very similar to this down in the St. Louis area on the Mississippi river or lower Illinois river depending on water condition. I think people are crazy to do that on the river because there is a lot of stuff floating in the water.
Then here you are showing us people doing 100+mph in 5-6ft of water.
I guess I am a wimp lol
Either way awesome shots! not my cup of tea but you gotta love that kind of power in that small of a boat.

Very cool. T grace it might only be in 5feet of water but it's the sunken snowmobiles under the water that ate the obstacles. Lol
Akor hopefully 1 day this summer I can make it work but not sure. I'll try. Dp got to love them. Lol
