My New R3 Has Arrived

My dealer emailed me this morning to let me know my 2019 R3 has arrived. It will get PDI'd this week and will be delivered next Tuesday. I should have hull and engine numbers later today. Looking forward to getting it out on the water next week. He sent a few pictures:

Actually, like last year, I'm a bit anxious about motoring this large (to me) boat around the docks, but am looking forward to seeing how the R3 rides and handles compared to my (now traded) 210. We have a large extended family get together this weekend (around 100 people) so we are busy preparing for that. Everything settles down on Monday and I'll be heading out to the lake with the kids for a week. The boat will arrive sometime on Tuesday.

PS I don't get the "MSO" and "R23" but, OK

PPS That isn't my trailer. I never thought I would care about the wheels on a trailer, but I have to say I feel differently about that now.

Don't get the "MSO" and "R23" but, OK

Like any other boat just do not approach a dock with any more speed than you are willing to hit it. The R series is actually really nice because the new gen motors rev higher so you only do about 3mph at idle speed. My old big block 262 would do about 6mph at idle speed so it was a lot of forward/neutral.

MSO is the Manufacture Statement of Origin (original title) and on mine it said the model was an R27, so I would assume yours will say R23. I am guessing Cobalt didn't think R27 rolled off the tongue as well as R7 does when they came up with the model names.

Sorry BB, it’s a 350. I’m going to drop by and have a look at it later this afternoon. I’m returning the GoPro though. I called Garmin and the only action camera that is compatible is the Garmin Vibe 30 Ultra so I’ll pick up one of those.

Some better pictures (for those who are interested). I checked all of the attachment points and cleats and saw no sign of overtightening or gel coat crazing. I'll get a look inside on Thursday or Friday morning. I spoke to the service manager about calibrating the sensor and he is going to review the Volvo Penta material on the procedure.

That boat is going to crush that trailer if it sits any longer on it. The right tire looks like it's about to collapse too. I know they are yard trailers but wow what he makes on 1 boat he could at least buy 1 new trailer. Lol
