Hello from North Texas

Post by mapdrummer »

New to this group and wanted to look to here for a good source of information and interaction some like minded folks! I have a 1989 Condure 203 that I have had now for about 10 years and as I understand it I am the 3rd owner of this beauty. Got lots of great memories with the kids, family and friends with it already but fell short of properly maintaining it over the past 3-4 years due to family related issues and all things that entail pulling you away from the leisure wonders of Lake Life, but she is getting a new lease on life and in the middle of a full renovation to bring her back to life and get out and fulfill her destiny. I haven't seen too many boats on here at first glance that are the age of mine, perhaps I will do a little more digging but here is a pic I have because I know the rules that if there are no pics, it didnt happen...here's my boat. Nice! Once a Cobalt, always a Cobalt. Always interesting to see the genetics behind the bloodlines! You can tell she's pure Cobalt

Welcome from your neighbor to the north. We are new to this site also. We’ve had a 1994 Cobalt 220 for many many years, we were second owners. She was a beast and never let us down. We let her go to a new family in the spring when we bought our new R5. Due to flooding up here this spring, we took a day trip to PK, not sure how close you are to that lake...but it was a good little trip.

Great to have a fellow PK member on here. Are you going to be back for the fireworks next Saturday?

TTU - no fireworks at PK for us. I have seen pictures and it looks incredible. We are weekday boaters. No weekends and definitely not in the water on holidays. The picture I posted of Hell’s Gate was my first trip to PK. My husband grew up there and hadn’t been back in 30 years, so he was itchin’ to take me and the new boat down. It’s about a 3 hour drive down for us.
Post some July 4th pics for us all! Happy Boating.

Fair enough. We will be down there for 9 days starting the weekend after the 4th. We try and make the fireworks every year. They are by far the best I have ever seen.
I will defiantly post pictures when we get back.

Love PK. That's a great! My favorite in Ok is Broken Bow, very nice scenery and clear water. We used to take a trip there every year. I'm on Texoma nearly 100% of the time now. We bought a lot about 8 years ago that right in the poi t.

I bought a boat from a guy on PK that owned the entire top of a plateau in The Ranch, in a gated community within a gated community! He built 3 houses up there and just sold the last one, and decided to pitch his boat. Some of those houses on that lake are amazing. Beautiful lake!
