What are you guys using to keep your batteries maintained during winter?

I bring mine I my house in the basement and charge them once a month.no issues.

I store my boat offsite so also bring the battery in the basement - use a "Battery Tender" to keep it topped up. Mine is a little higher end one:

but if you shop around a bit you can find it for $40-50. I first learned of them in the auto world, and have one that stays in my convertible.

My boat has 2 batteries will I need 2 tenders if I was to leave the batteries in the boat?

Myself would not leave them in the boat. For some God forsaken reason they freeze and crack you will have battery acid where you don't want it. I would Remove them.

Ah that helps! Can get two tenders. Just disconnect the neg terminal. Some may not. Or just rotate one charger. Some people hard wire the charger in and plug it in without opening the hatch.

They make battery tenders that have multiple battery capacity. I had one for my previous boat that I could hook 4 batteries. The single unit monitored 4 batteries at once. I would imagine they make one in a two battery configuration.

Lat year I pulled them and gave them a quick charge every month or so. I've left them in and pulled them in the past. I've never had a problem with batteries doing either. My boat is in a pole barn that isn't heated but is not in direct wind - It never gets cold enough to crack a battery.

Disconnected and left them in this year. Not concerned about them at all.
