The air compressor under my rear hatch is not working. I checked it out and I do not have power going to the compressor. All the breakers under the dash are good and I can not seem to find an inline fuse. Did Cobalt hide a fuse box somewhere that I am unaware of? I looked through the OM but I have not had any luck. Any advice will be helpful.

I’m not aware of any hidden fuse for the 12 volt receptacle in the port hatch storage. I believe there may be a fuse in the air compressor plug.

I’ll ask the obvious questions first....
Was the key on or in the accessory position while checking the power?
Battery switch on?
Any other outlet powered devices tested in the 12 volt outlet (like a phone charger?)
Did you check that the 12v outlet metal prongs are not missing or bent?
Are the outlets near the helm and in the cuddy working correctly?

I did make sure that the power was on and I checked the wire with a test light in the engine compartment before the outlet and I have to power there. I am not having any problems with any other outlets so it must be an inline fuse somewhere. I will keep searching and let you know what I find.

I have not traced that wire from the port hatch 12V outlet. If there were a fuse, I would think it would located within that wire in the engine compartment somewhere. Let us know if you find one. It makes sense that there would be one as I know in the past I have found them blown in our automobiles due to someone trying to charge something like an Ipad or other equipment that draws a lot of current.

Oh, and check under the dash. I'm sure you know what they look like....black plastic pieces that push and twist together which contain the glass fuse.
