Need recommendations on winter boat cover and temperature gauge for 1995 222
Posted: Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:12 pm
Greetings All...
I'm new to the forum and very glad I found it. I purchased a 1995 222 Cobalt a couple of years ago....
Temperature Gauge issue:
...and the temperature gauge has quit working. Called Cobalt to discover they used BDO [? maybe VDO] gauges back then. Whomever they used, the temp gauge vendor has gone out of business so I assume I will need to replace with another after market part since the OEM gauge apparently is not available. Any thoughts on how best to proceed would be sincerely appreciated. Is there any sourcing for 1995 parts... shakey at best I imagine...
New Winter Water Proof Cover
Boat gets stored outdoors during winter and needs a cover. She came with the green snap down under cover and a really nice, obviously custom to Cobalt light canvas over all cover with cut outs in all the right places. Cobalt recommends IBoats where we find National Boat Covers and others offering generic, probably OK, but not custom for Cobalt by any stretch. Here again, any insights forum members can share about best buys and best vendors would be sincerely appreciated.
Be safe on the water and enjoy the fall boating and thanks so much in advance for the courtesy of reply.
