LED replacements? Shark Skin mooring cover?

Curious if anyone has replaced any of their interior or navigation lights with LED’s? What about any additional interior light LED strips? Bought my kids LED strips for their beds. Has rainbow of color options and thought those would look good in the boat. If yes to any LED’s, where did you get and how hard to install?

Easier mooring cover? Anyone have any experience with aftermarket mooring covers that still do a good job between weekends. Or covers you can use when boat is in transit on trailer? My Cobalt mooring cover is good, but cumbersome to use often. I see newer boats with stretchy neoprene covers which appear super easy to use. I love my cockpit covers, but this allows the rear and sides of boat to get dusty.

Look at your intro post for some of my answers. And since you're in Oklahoma, google Edward's Canvas in Paul's Valley. They have to have the boat for a couple of days, but they can build a custom cover that fits like a glove, and is easy to put on and take off. And you can have it made to go as far down the side as you want, but keep in mind, the farther down the sides go the harder it is to work with.

I went with low profile red led for the interior. ( they need to clear the lenses) The 2 from cup holder lights where the only difference as there festoon style..

Single 8k boat plug offset to clear.

Thanks for that tip. I'm close enough to Paul's Valley that I could run the boat up there. That cover looks wonderful.

Correction. The red led I list in the above post where for the dash side gauges that weren’t red.

Here are the Cabin Led that clear the lenses. Yes they come in blue.

Thanks! I've had four covers made there and I've liked all four of them. And for the money I don't think you'll find anything better!

Awesome! Thanks guys. I’ll be ordering the LEDs ASAP. And that cover is amazing. Exactly what I was talking about. Assume around $1000 or so?

Actually it'll probably be a tad under that. I had one made for my 240 that was just under $600. The last one for my 262 was about $800 if I remember correctly.

I discovered last night, by nearly burning my hand, that the nav lights in the front must not be LEDs in our 2020 R5. The enclosure gets HOT. Has anyone replaced these with LEDs?

Yep they get hot.
I use the underwater switch to turn mine on and it doesn't bother me a bit. 😂😂
