I'm looking at the NOCO Genius (!) Gen 2 two bank charger.
Does anyone have any good or bad experience to share?
I think I saw a warranty claim being denied due to a wiring extension made by owner...
Since I read that I looked for approved extensions by that company. They have a lot of attractive products, but nothing to do that, best I can tell.

That's what I have and I got it with an extension. No problems going on 3 years.

I checked day and do not have an extension. The port plug that I got with it has a 16" extension. So you could do one of these. Or are you talking about the battery side? The battery side I believe can be extended to 10 feet but you had to add a fuse per manufacturer.

I was thinking about the battery side, but the supply side deserves consideration too. I had a Marinco outlet installed in my center console that worked well, this looks similar, except for the installed cord.

After reading the negative reviews on Amazon (12% of all reviews were one star) and looking at the limited warranty conditions, I'll probably shop a little more before deciding. I'm sure many people have gotten good service from them, but having to pay a fee after 2.5 years seems pretty poor after advertising a 5 year warranty.

I'll look closely at the warranty terms for other brands, this just seemed odd to me.
I thought I'd get a few more responses about NOCO chargers on this board!

I use battery tender that mounted to the hatch with extension cable to each battery. My new ATV came with battery tender already attached.

When I had dead batteries this spring, I decided to install a battery charger. After extensive research, which included the NOCO, I decided on the Dual Pro Sportsman. Here's why: Made in USA, serviceable components, 3-year warranty (no sliding scale), and it appears to have a very good reputation. It was more expensive, but I felt that it was worth the extra cost.

I think the fishermen are pretty serious about their batteries and battery care. I'll look into this one, thanks!

I'm looking at two different chargers now. I like the Dual Pro line of chargers, being serviceable is a rare attribute with electrical and electronic devices these days. Also looking at Minn Kota Precision...similar prices.

On my 220 I used a dual battery tender and left it on all the time whenever it was parked in the building. Batteries lasted 10 years before I got worried about being stranded and changed them out. On my current 262 I found a Dual Pro Charger, Pro Series. My question to you all, can I leave this one plugged in all the time like the battery tender? Cant figure out how to post a pic of charger.

No worries here! I'm trying to learn more and you're adding to the knowledge.
So long as a smart charger stays "smart," and doesn't overcharge a battery, you should be able to leave it plugged in whenever you're off the water. I use a Battery Tender on my motorcycle like that.

I have 2-way Battery Tender (BT) mounted to my 220 hatch with extension cable routed to serve both batteries. Currently, both boat batteries, along with the Yamaha waverunner ski battery, are down my cellar (away from the furnace/heat source) on a 4-way BT. I also have a BT for the ATV that's currently is connected to the ATV battery that's within the ATV (currently its 15 degrees in Maine where the ATV is located now). Sometimes I disconnected the 4-way BT down my cellar for the cars if/when the temperature hovers around zero. BTW - you need to keep an eye on battery water levels during battery storage if they are not sealed.b
