When I talked to Mercury they said yes to fog. You need to get a secondary fuel tank and mix the gas/oil and hook up right before the fuel filter.

I would run antifreeze through your engine and leave full. Ask your dealer though.

It took me a full season to figure out how to do the fogging procedure bc I had to track down parts. If you are interested let me know and I will help you. Post a pic of your fuel line going into the fuel filter so I can get an idea of your set up

I just took 6' of clear fuel safe hose and put a primer bulb in the middle. Pull off the fuel line from the tank and hook up the clear hose, stick the other end in a 2 gallon gas can with 1 gallon of fuel, 11oz of 2 stroke oil, and 6oz of stabilizer and run it for 5 min at 1300 RPM. Shut is down, hook the fuel line back up and move on to draining the block and filling with antifreeze.

I'm catching this a bit late, but my Merc mechanic told me not to fog given the cats. I think my '13 was the first year for cats.

The mechanics at Mercury told me to fog the engine. The guys on their customer service number are ex mechanics and said the guys that tell you not are lazy and don’t want to disconnect the fuel line. Give them a call, they are great and answer all types of questions

I've got a Volvo with cat's. I called Volvo customer service to get their recommendation on fogging one of their products. They declined to answer and suggested I speak to my servicing dealer. That's the problem when different dealers have different answers and the MFG is non helpful.

Makes sense. The owner was very old school - and he was not a big fan of cats. Sadly, they finally closed their doors (Coopers in Ashland, VA) when no one in the family wanted to run the business. I use an independent mechanic now - with mixed results.
