How does everyone feel about using OEM parts vs the Sierra brand?

I prefer OEM on anything gaskets and rubber products that are crucial ( impeller , belts , bellows etc).
As with my mercs I had quicksilver .
I’m not seeing a confident aftermarket for Volvo as long as the OEM is still available I’ll go that route first.

Sorry I think Matt and I are a little bias to oem and for a good reason. It fits and it works and they spend millions making sure everything works.
Quicksilver is like AC Delco. All good with that.

I’ll stick with the OEM parts. I bought the boat used, and that’s what the previous owner was using.

This.

Sierra makes good hard parts, at least for Mercs, but their gaskets are garbage.
