What are these for ?

Post by Cctvdc »

I have had our Cobalt for 2 years and have not been able to determine what these are used for ? I thought they were for the bow or transom cover or mooring cover but they don't seem to fit anything. I know when someone answers I will feel foolish but I am asking any way. Thank You in advance !

Those are called twofootties.
You put a pole with a turnbuckle between them and one pad on the bow and the other end on the transom and you turn the turnbuckle a foot each year till it reaches the twofootties 😜😜

What does the lettering say?
Looks like a company or product name.
Unless you're looking for a "wrong answer only" response, that's what I'd do.

I don’t want the “ 2019 Liars club” to end so I’ll submit my theory.

As your Cobalt sat on the showroom floor being adorned by everyone at the dealership.. Something caught RayRay ( yes that’s his name ) by suprise.
The overhead light directly over your future Cobalt had burned out leaving it noticeably dark.

RayRay grabbed his extension pole and bulb adapter kit, and swiftly changed the bulb.

Realizing he had used the rear seats as a ladder instead of moving your Cobalt... he quickly left the lightbulb head adapter behind.

I do this with only one lemon drop 😎

Those are "feet" for the cover support poles. Helps them stay in place.

That's exactly what I wanted to say! That makes way more sense than a lightbulbchangerouter. Matt has been into the good stuff this weekend.

Now I'm trying to get into Matt's mind and figure out how you attach a lightbulb to a flat square in California?

I have tried to attach these to the poles for both bow cockpit and mooring cover but the round attachments on the pads are larger in diameter that the poles ?? Any other suggestions ?

Get a bigger pole. Sorry. Not much help. Maybe the factory or someone just left them in there by accident and they don't belong to anything for the boat.

"Get a bigger pole."
BBP,

There are many who would like to do that... can you give us a
source, or a procedure?

Jackstand pads maybe for when the boat was on the floor being produced or was on the showroom floor? Something like this?

You obviously don't look as foolish as some of our Chat Bros.... I have an R7 and the factory mooring cover and I've never seen these before. Maybe something left over from the build process??
