Just bought a "new" to me 1998 Cobalt 272. Great shape for its age. Interior is really nice, no weather cracking. Has the 7.4 volvo penta duoprop. High output motor(385 hp), with captains call exhaust and 378 hours. Will need a good wet sand/ buff on the back(something I seriously enjoy), a stereo, and fix the motor hatch-that thing is heavy!! Already have a new bilge pump.
Sat for several years, previous owner said it was used a little yearly-last license was 2013. Got to drive it about 10 miles then watched a mechanic winterize on my lift.....Can't wait for it to warm up. Till then on nice days I can "play". Will always be something to do... We were pretty convinced we wanted a crownline, and there are plenty around here. Then I saw this Cobalt. Love the lines, the look , the interior.
Not talking badly about the crownline, but I feel like this boat is just so well built. Quality.

Welcome from California! Great size for your lake.
Question on your bunks as they seem slightly short? Do you have plans to mov the hoist forward? I see it a tight slip.

She’s a stunner! Welcome aboard! I’ll be down there for the shootout with my 252, maybe we’ll see you. I can spot a Cobalt out of crowed!

Well ya. I bought a 27’ boat and have a 24 foot slip. So she’s a little big for the dock. I’ve already talked to a lift guy here and he’s gonna come lo at it.
The good thing is I live here full time, so I see her everyday The bad thing is I live here full time, and get to see her, but can’t use her....

Welcome from just down the stream at Table Rock! Nice looking 272. Since you live there full time and get to stare at it let's see some more pics. And I guess I should say some snow pics since we have weather blowing through today :)

I’m still up in the air on TRL right now. I’m supposed to go to India for work in that general time frame, but the dates aren’t firmed up yet. If I don’t get there this year I will next year for sure.

Great looking boat! I agree on the Crownline, I was looking for a boat, saw a Crownline in perfect condition, a beautiful boat...found an older Cobalt and am very happy with it. Enjoy your boat! This forum has some good info available from the members.
