Cousin of one of our prior employees and grandson of friends.
Always, always get a flu shot..

devastating, can't even imagine...With Mrs. Akor being an RN flu shots are required, and the kids always get them. I'm the only rock head that still doesn't get one.

I historically avoided the shot as well, then I started working for a HealthCare System and they were required. I was always skeptical of their effectiveness until this year.
Louisville had a flu outbreak the week of Christmas. I know of at least 8 people that I work closely with on a daily basis that got sick. We all had flu like symptoms for about a day but then everyone got better. Several people were tested and told they had Flu Type A.
Did the Flu shot mean I totally avoided the Flu? Nope. But I do think getting it turned what could have been a week of miserable flu into a day of a mild fever and some aches and pains. To me its worth it.

Follow along with this..
Luca’s mother is best friends with “molly”, a family we know in town. My daughter used to date Molly’s brother. Molly just lost quadruplets in a miscarriage a few weeks ago. She was so close to term.. Luca was like their nephew.
Molly’s husband Jeremy just lost his mother in a tragic car accident this past weekend..
I don’t know how much more sadness this family can take..

Wow, that's heart breaking, T. We live in a very broken world. Praying she has family, friends, and her local church to come along side her in this time of sadness to offer aid and hope.

So so sad. Really the only thing to help in this situation is prayer and time.

Be kind and tell those you hold close to you how much you love them. Take nothing for granted.
Life is too short!

One of my favorite movies was The Bucket List..One thing I’ve learned lately is that indeed... life breezes by “like smoke through a keyhole”.
I’m 61, and was 21 yesterday.
Live it..

And sometime in the next 8 or 9 years, you'll learn another of Morgan Freeman's
witicisms... "never trust a fart".
