ACESS TECHNOLOGIES REMOTE COMMANDER

Being that finding a replacement for my factory remote that has died is impossible am looking at replacement options. I have a 04 262. All suggestions re replacement would be appreciated. Also, I know that the remote is attached with two bolts through metal mounting plate. Is the metal mount plate attached by adhesive? If so, how do you remove plate and adhesive?
