I just acquired a 2008 252 Love the boat but the Bimini got trashed during Harvey on the boat house. Looking for a Bimini to use the stock mounts or maybe a tower that is made for the boat. Ive called around including Samson. The real problem is the install.
The second ask is on carpet. The carpet was trashed so I took it off and put in garage. Replace or leave off. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Hi welcome. I would switch over to segrass or a seadek type floor covering. But it gets pretty warm down there nothing might just be the trick.
How bad is the binimi. Lots of upholstery shops can make you one to match up to what you have. It would help if you have a template for both. Pictures.

Hey dobone. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
How do you use your boat? Not having carpet makes it a cinch to clean but that bare fiberglass can become slippery when wet.
I’m a carpet guy myself. We love how cool the gray color is under direct sunlight and it’s still pretty easy to clean with the snaps.
Can’t help you much with the bimini. Others will chime in though.
Great pic by the way.
Again welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from California!
Awesome
Go with lightest color sea grass as it cleans with a cup of water.
Have your Bimini mirrored as the swivel ends and adjust forward rods are priceless.
Oh more pics and captains report.! We Loce stories about V8s.

The frame was bent badly and the canvas was tattered and torn. Missing pieces so I tossed it (I ASSUMED a new one would be easy to get). I called cobalt (like most) and was surprised at the lack of inventory at the factory. No sure if a wake tower is worth it. You are correct, it gets very hot her in the summer and having relief is key. The flooring also was a concern with the heat. I don't mind the white floor but it gets dirty so easy. On a good note, I replaced the fuel pump assembly (2k) which is a known issue and it drives like a dream now and replaced the stereo with fusion and wetsounds stuff. Love it!
We are a cruising the lake family. I have a 12 & a 13 yr old who sorta enjoy wakeboarding but NOT all in. We enjoy driving around and fellowship with friends more than anything else. Lake Conroe is too rough to waterski and I am too old for that anyway. We tube a little also.
I have the old carpet still for a template if needed. The guy before me was abusive to the boat. Ive done a a lot of tweaking to make it nice again.

Well seeing that you have a dog its sea grass then. Texas has to have good upholstery shops. They can make you a nice binimi. I'm not sure the tower is the right thing for you. I'm not a huge aftermarket tower fan.
I used hull cleaner on my white floor with a stiff push broom and a smaller brush. Same thing on you anchor locker cover.

Welcome from Oklahoma! Just Google replacement biminis and you'll find lots of them. You can get a cheaper version framed out of aluminum, but Cobalt doesn't use those. So, when your shopping, make sure you get a stainless steel one. Most are 3 rail, but you can get a 4 rail or larger, it just won't fit your mounts. Also, a picture of your mounts will help us identify what you need for mounts.

Most certainly does not suck!
Now, we need to get some captains call on the upgrade list.

No it's the only way to go. Inside joke going on here for some of us. Some take it more personally than others. As long as you're on the water it doesn't matter. Congrats sweet ride!!
