My main lake launch is a 20 minute drive. The good thing within a hour of us we have lots of choices.
Yes we trailer.

I do both, trailer and on the lift. Main lake, house/lift is on Canandaguia Lake - Approximately 40 minutes from my house.

I'll have June and July down there this year with the boat on the lift then pull it as family uses the house. I'll hit local lakes during that time. Finger Lakes and I can be on Ontario in 15 minutes, but that's a BIIIG lake with BIIIIG lake issues for a 19 ft boat.

Then I'll drop back in Labor day and keep it on the lift through September.

My boat and lake are 3.5 hours away...so we always make it a 3 or 4 day boating trip. SoCal lakes are pretty bad and Colorado river chain of lakes are our only option for nice clean lakes. Then there's always the Lake Powell drive once a year...10 hours!

that's commitment. Before i moved to Rochester I lived in Jersey. I'd Get 7-10 days with my boat a season. 4 hours away. I stand with you.

Also we live within an hour of Lake Michigan and go there a few times also, usually putting in at South Haven MI

Similar to BB, 20 mins to main launch. We dry stack but have a trailer and plan to visit a few sites about an hour away.

125 miles, 3.5 hours and 40 minutes ? I feel spoiled. I trailer to my main launch. If the launch isn't busy, I'm on the water 10 minutes after leaving the house. Launch is only 1 mile away.

Chautauqua lake is 20 minutes away.
Lake Erie is 3 miles from me, but we usually launch about 20 minutes closer to Buffalo.

Very cool. Are you the one that post the cool vids on utube?

Powell rocks. One of these days I may trailer or rent from there and boat it.

Wet slip at the lake. It's a 35-40 minute drive up.

I actually live 5 minutes from Long Island Sound but the water isn't great for what we do. I also get more use on the lake. There are frequent small craft advisories and I have been able to go out on a beautiful day at the lake while the sound is a washing machine.

Do you get out on Ontario or is that not as close?

Ontario is very close. About an hour from my house. Maybe a trip across the lake and over to Toronto sometime. Only about 20 or so miles across the lake from Olcott, but down on the list because I don't know anything about the hot places to boat there. Can you share what you know and do on Ontario?
I'd like to move it up the list if I knew where to go.
Thanks.

Let's see if Colin can help you with Canadian boating there.
