Condesa Restore

Post by Kate »

Am in the process of restoring my '85 Condesa to showroom condition with modern tech. We're doing this in three stages: 1) Interior (done); 2) exterior -- remove, clean/replace all hardware, and sand/paint; 3) new engine/drive.

Any thoughts on 3)? My performance goal is to cruise comfortably and quietly at min. 40 mph. Here are the three engines currently under consideration: 383 stroker, 454 mag, LS3 -- all with either a B1 or B3 outdrive. (With mods, the engines all spec at 400-440hp.)

Other suggestions on the engine/drive combo? (And no, BB, I don't want a jet engine.) I promise to post before, during, and after pics.

502 Mag paired to a Bravo 3 will suite your needs quite well. If you can fit the 454 you can fit the 502.

If a 502 will fit the 520 will also. It comes with a 5 year warranty.

Thanks, akor. Didn't consider that combo.

That 520 would make her scream! I'm only finding a 2 yr warranty. Where'd you find 5?

Sorry my bad 2 years. But I can't read all of the fine print in the extended protection package. Something to look into?
