Is the hull the same on the older 252 and 253? I was told the caddy would handle rough water better, is that true?

The cuddy is heavier that the 252, and a cuddy will always handle big water better and water over the bow isnβt a big deal vs a bow rider that would get swamped. Otherwise, same hull.

Hey Freddie. Welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!
I'll echo what akor says.
Do you have a 252 or 253 or are you searching? ...or do you own a boat now?
Any pics?
Again, welcome aboard mate!

Thank you, I now have a Donzi Minx 20β with a 300 hp 5.7 mag MPI and a 24β South Bay Tritoon with a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke, I live on a 10,000 acre lake in Central Florida. The lake can get pretty rough and the Donzi is fast, but light. I am looking at a larger Cobalt to smooth the ride. I have had spinal surgery several times and am trying to increase the comfort on the water.
