Hello All

My name is Matt and I am from Stockton California where I have been boating on the Delta water way for 20 years, As I started with sailing and went into a variety of power boats (A 32 Sunsation was my recent boat).
Family and Grand-kids have changed my boating style recently and I missed the bow rider for lounging and access to the water.

I have always admired the build and lines of Cobalt's for a long time and decided to make a move on a 282 (2003 twin Volvo 8.1 342 hours).

I love it!.. I actually have stretch out room and a windshield again.. . It is also nice to have a check in place like Cobalt Chat for advice and info items as thing can and do come up in our wonderful hobby.

Yes.. it appears coated and not oiled so I'll see how it does

Thanks. I'm a teak guy too. Don't have any now but would. Jury still out for me to see how the seadel type prods hold up. I'd go teak in a NY minute!

Your 282 is gorgeous. I am a big fan of the center walk thru Cobalt's.

We also enjoy Sunsation boats as well. My family drools over them at the Annapolis boat show. You have great taste my friend.

Any more pics of your Cobalt? Would love to see more.


Btw, I'm going crazy trying to locate the center walk thru cushions for our 263. You wouldn't happen to want to sell yours? We have 10-12 kids at times on our boat and they sure would come in handy.

We just sold our 32 Sunsation in april.. It was a great boat and well built .. but after owning many performance boats and realizing how small they get when at anchor it was time to go back to a lounge style boat but with a quality I was used to... Ta da Cobalt. I Love it!

It cruises fast . has a 9' beam and when 6 people are on back no one touches knees and elbows. The twins help my fix on the sound !

I love the walk through. After dealing with offshore decks forever this is the best. The cushions are still in Cobalt bags as they are unused. but as you could imagine irreplaceable. *

I will let you know if I ever decide to sell them and I will keep an eye if I hear of anyone up here with some.
Congrats on yours as the 263 lines have the edge of the offshore sport boat with the lounge feature I like.. very nice!!

I know what u mean about the go fast boats. They are fun but limiting.
