Glad we bought a Cobalt. I've had many boats and this one is the best so far.

That looks awesome. I love the color. Please report your first impressions after putting a few hours on it. What engine did you outfit it with?

Hey Srf...welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!
That's a great picture my friend. Nice colors. So many memories await you on the water.
Be sure to post more.
Any engine pics?
Would love to hear about any of your other boats too. Of course pics of those are always welcomed. We enjoy all types here.
Again welcome aboard mate!

The boat now has 40 hours on it (we are on the water every weekend - all weekend!). This is outfitted with the 240 HP VP DP. Quick planing but shy on top speed. GPS has top speed at 38.0 knots (43.7 mph). Boat is always 1/2 full of fuel or more. Smooth and quick turns but slight prop cavitation when turning sharp. The layout of the boat is great but wish they would have used the small triangle up front for the anchor locker like in the CS models. No issues except the oil pressure sending unit is bad or has a loose wire. Haven't taken it in yet as every weekend has been too nice. Wish SeaDek was standard on the transom and swim platform.
My other boats have been:
2001 Proline SS 26 center console w/Yamaha 200 on extended bracket
2000 Seadoo Challenger 2000 w/240 merc jetdrive
1993 Tracker 25 pontoon w/10 HP merc (no wake lake)
1996 Bennington pontoon w/70 HP merc
1986 Regal Sebring XL cuddy w/170 HP merc
So its been a while since I've had a true runabout. Very happy with this boat. Takes the rough wakes in Lake Lanier. AS always, I wish I went bigger (R3 or R5 may be in my future).

Nice report. I can't believe your cavatating a DP you might just have her trimmed up a bit high. Then again I have 8 blades.
Seadek Eva is a ready add on. Do it sooner than later they are very fast to get it to you. Call them to see who may have it in stk already. Or check with your dealer. Best thing I added.

Welcome from Texas. Great looking boat and you are in the south, so you have a nice long boating season. I recommend an engine compartment heater to extend your season.

Belated welcome. Great boat.
I'm just going through threads I missed in prep for coming season.
Lots of information here.
