Water under cup holders in aft?

Hi all-new to forum and have a couple questions. Just bought an 03 282 with 120 hours and boat looks like it was in a time warp. Couldn’t be happier with this boat. However I do have a couple questions. 1. It has upgraded stainless steal cup holders with led rings and it appears that in the aft they are holding water underneath the holders. Can I drill a small drain hole in the boxes holding them or is there already a drain that’s just clogged up? 2. One of the interior light covers is broken...where can I find ocm covers or are there better options out there? 3. Trim tabs seem super small for this size boat. Is there a good upgrade that people have had success with? 4. I’m at the Lake of the Ozarks and this boat has an older wet sound system that seems to be working well but one of the subs pop from time to time and I’d like to have someone who is good with these systems come check it over and make sure everything is in good working order.
Ok that’s it for now. I appreciate any and all feedback and advise.
Thanks

Hey CB. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
Normally underneath the cup holders is your storage compartment...at least that’s how the 262/263 is set up. They are normally just siliconed to the fiberglass. CmattJ will chime in about the 282 specifics.
Great Lakes skipper has OEM light covers. Also check amazon.
You can definitely upgrade the trim tabs to bigger Bennett tabs. Or if you’re a race enthusiast you could go K planes but that’s really overkill.
Please post pics.
Again welcome aboard mate!

Welcome. If you want me current speakers just do it!! Creative audio gives us a discount.
The Dub is popping pop a new in it place they are not to expensive.
All of my cup holders are just in dead space to I have no issues. Make sure yours isn't above the cooler. You don't want to drill into that. They used many different light covers. Need pictures. You might have to get the whole light assembly. Not a big deal.

Welcome!
What kind of speakers do you have? I know they used to be real big on Focal there back in the day. Waves n Wheels does great work but you definitely pay a pretty penny for it.
What part of LOTO are you on? Just curious how the 282 handles it?

Hi all-thanks for advise! BigGib I’m up on the north shore at the 5mm. Lick Branch Cove area. So first impression of running the boat out on the main channel is that it cruises great between 25mph and 35mph. Any faster and the the beat was on, up till about 52-53. Once I got in the mid 50’s it seamed to just fly over the top of the waives but scared the hell out of my 13 yr old

so we only tried that a couple times.
We cruised down to toll bridge yesterday around noon and again It did well. That being said we did encounter some unbelievable waves down there. There were 4 50’-60’ boats running in parallel to each other headed north towards us and it looked like they were just plowing on purpose. I shit you not, The waves were every bit of 7’-8’ tall.
Anyway had a great time out on our first weekend with the new to us boat!
