TORN, LOVE, May sell

Post by Donedroolin »

1997 Cobalt 253, 7.4 liter. Put allot of money into this boat as we all do, LOL. Got receipts for everything all work done by Mariner. We are looking at 26 to 30 foot cruisers. Hate to say it found a really nice Searay 280. Thinking about. However I love this boat and did from first site. I know I have an excellent running boat. Would there be any interest. What would be a fair price 437 hours.

Nice boat! $20-25k in a normal market, but it’s a crazy sellers market so even at $25k it should move fast. We looked at a couple 28’ SeaRays before buying the 252. Nice boats, very spacious and comfortable. Usually underpowered in my experience, and obviously fit and finish are not in the same class as Cobalt.

I was thinking 20 to 23. The 280 we are looking at has twin 5.0 with 259 hours on them fresh water use. I do just really love our boat. Love the ride the speed and the handling . I don't know if I could sell her. Love the the idea of being able to stay on the boat for like the weekend. Having everything aboard like our camper. Such a tough decision.

All the Rays we looked at were singles, twins would be much better for that boat. I really like the layout and space on the 28’ Ray, but people really have a high opinions on those boats and for the price the build quality wasn’t on par in my opinion. Have you looked Regals at all? They are close in quality to Cobalt.
