When we bought our 240 in 2007, we received a nice black messenger bag with an embroidered Cobalt logo. Did anyone else ever get one of these? We were never sure whether it was the dealer or Cobalt themselves who had provided it.

I have used it as the one stop shop where I keep the boat keys, registration, kill lanyard, Garmin GPS, spare transom plug, etc. if we are going boating, the Black Cobalt bag is coming along for the ride without fail.

Flash forward to 2020: Now after 13 years of being used every time we were on the boat, the messenger bag has finally started ripping out at the handles. I can still carry it with the strap, but it’s days are clearly numbered.

Where do I find a replacement? No joy at the Cobalt website.

Yes I think that came with most boats. Maybe someone is willing to give one up? Post this on the wanted to buy section?

I received one with my 2005 263. I store all of the boats manuals and maintenance records in it. Its never left the closet so its in perfect shape. Name your price and I might let it go

Can you post pics? Sounds like they upgraded from what was provided with my boat.

This is the bag that came with my 2008 272.. looks like they do change from
year to year. Not interested in selling. Surprised that Cobalt doesn't offer these
for sale.

We had the older gray style without handles shown above with our 2002 Cobalt 262.

Our 2005 263 came with the black leather bag with handles shown above.

So the switch in style occurred somewhere in between 2002 and 2005.

The original owner. Guess he was nice enough to pass along.

This is my messenger bag from 2007. My messenger bag is considerably fuller than Okielaker’s bag.

Much larger rip along the top seam.

I was going to call Cobalt today but forgot. While they don’t show it for sale on their website, maybe they will sell it via a phone call.

$25 was merely the opening bid to start the negotiations off properly.

I have a brand new bag. It looks identical to the one I’ve had since 2007. I am a happy camper.
