Extended Swim Platforms

Post by WIriverrat »

Has anyone gotten and extended swim platform from swimplatforms.com?
We have a 360 and want more room for the kids back on the platforms. Looking for any feedback on quality, fit and finish, how was the install etc.

I know 3 people that have these for a 252 and I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I've seen a couple first hand and they appear to be really high quality and don't stand out too much as not looking like a factory option

I just submitted my order. Took about a week to get fully ordered and there is an eight week delivery estimate. It's going to help my little 206 tremendously.

I have a 07 282 and absolutely love the step and extended platform. It makes getting on the boat so much easier.

Hey PD. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Any pics of your 282? That’s a fantastic model.

And you’re right. After having an extra extended swim platform I wouldn’t think of getting a boat without one. It makes your boat so much roomier on the water.

Again welcome aboard mate!

Hey jjr. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

I know Thunder550 got his installed at a steal of a price. Not sure how much he paid for the platform. The post is here.

Any pics of ypur 226?

Man, I forgot I did this twice and then never heard back from them, got busy anyway. My quote all in was about $1800.

Reviving an old thread. Does anyone have any other brand suggestions for swim platform options? I would prefer an option with the platform flush with the water level.

I've never seen anything like that. Sounds a bit like the world's biggest trim tab - I'm not sure how well it would hold up over time.

I know what you’re looking for…some of the factory platforms look like they sit pretty flush to the water line. Depending on the year and model of your boat, Cobalt might still have a platform available, but from what I have learned, I wouldn’t expect that. I have a 206 with the swimplatforms.com platform. The platform won’t fool anyone into thinking that it is a factory platform, but it made my boat feel a lot bigger. I couldn’t be happier with it in terms of both function and quality.

Gotta agree with you there. My Swimplatforms.com deck is a good 6+ inches off the water and I've been worried about it taking a hit from the underside under power when trying to get out of the hole. The last thing I want is for that thing to rip off underway!
