Hey there everyone. New member here and new owner of a 2009 Cobalt 302, 300hrs, twin Volvo Penta 8.1s.
Joining to read and learn, as this is also my first official boat of ownership.
Took her out on the maiden voyage this weekend at LOTO where we stay and keep it on a lift. Very excited to learn and enjoy.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome, is it rowdy there with the Shootout going on? How does she handle the washing machine?

Welcome from a fellow Missourian! The 302 seems to be quite the popular boat at LOTO. I see maybe 1-2 of them on Table Rock. Great looking boat and let's keep the pictures rolling!

This past weekend was the "Run what you brung" shootout and it's fairly lowkey being that it's on a Friday and early. Then they did the "Mini Shootout" for remote control boats. I didn't come across either as I was just trying to stretch my legs on the new to us Cobalt.
We got out of there on Sunday and can't get back until Labor Day weekend, so we'll miss the shootout. With as busy as I hear it gets, I don't think we'll mind taking a break.
The lake has been super busy all year with COVID, just a lot more boats out on the water. But the 302 handled everything thrown at her this past weekend. I was able to run about 30mph down the main channel fairly regularly, so I consider that manageable. But I do have some friends running some smaller boats that said they had a rough time, but again, they said it's been rough for smaller boats all this Summer.

I saw the mini shootout. Those things are crazy! The last I saw overall top speed was 125 mph
I heard itβs been nuts all year down there. Been that way up here too, they sold north of 35k chain stickers this year.

Welcome.
First boat a Cobalt 302? Nice!
Great looking family...great age for kids on a boat.
Bet you'll be popular with all their friends too.

Nice looking boat and will probably see you around at some point. We were out this weekend in our new (to us) 282. Was a bit sporty to say the least but it did fine. Congrats!!!
