I am selling a trailer made for a 250 or a 255. It is a 2005 Heritage trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes.
Brakes are almost new, Hydrastar 1600psi hydraulic.
It also has 5 almost new Goodyear Endurance tires, 4 on trailer 1 spare, about 6 months old.
Trailer is black and in very good condition.
LED lights and new Stoltz bow roller and keel rollers.
Asking $2,800.
made for 21 degree dead rise, but could be modified.
Fresh water only.

Nice trailer! I wish my 05' 262 would fit. This is exactly what I'm looking for.

If you extended bunks I bet it would be perfect. Same dead rise as a 255 and a 255 is actually a little heavier.

Hard to say where the chines land. Can the wrench stand go forward a foot. Adding bumps and having the weight that far behind the axles takes weight off the tongue. So lots of factors here.

Tongue weight with my 255 is about +750 lbs, I bet going back a little would be good for a 262's tongue weight.
Chines could be different though. Would not be hard to move bunks at a welding shop. Pretty straight forward.
The reason I am selling is I am getting a new trailer that will fit in my garage with boat.

Do you have any pics of your 255 on the trailer? Specifically the back. I'd like to see where the stern of your boat comes to. The 262 is almost 27' before the extended swim platform that makes it over 28'.

If I didnt already have a signed contract I would buy this trailer and find a boat to fit it.

Here you go:

The 262 in the 2005 Cobalt brochure states hull length to be 26'-8".
The 255 in same brochure has a hull length of 25'-0".
