I’m looking for my first Cobalt.
My lake has a 26’ size limit but we’re at 7000ft altitude. I prefer something with more power to overcome the loss of power due to altitude. I’m open to a 226 as well, but like the little extra space of the 246.

Condition is more important than year, but newer the better.

The sellers market seems to be slowing with the end of the season quickly upon us.

I’m not in a rush, I’m ready to buy, but I’d rather wait for the correct boat than settle.

Do we have a budget? Is this a Tahoe boat?

Not Tahoe.

Always looking you know. I'm looking for a 230 with a new style factory tower and a BB. If I find one mine will go for sale also.
You can find some 250s with that package though?

I just listed our 246 Today. It has the 8.2L 502 engine and the Volvo Penta Duo Prop with the 1.78 outdrive ratio. Recommended for high altitude boats. It is now listed on this website and Craigslist Sacramento CA if you are still looking. Thanks Mark

I just found the forum two days ago so it was pure chance.

Follow up and a Thank You, Mike and I found each other on your Forum. He drove 450 miles this morning to be first to test drive this Cobalt. The boat is SOLD. For others watching I will share I had 2 more buyers trying to buy this boat after we committed to wait for Mike to drive up. So even in September the market is good if you have the right boat. Mikes needs lined up very well with the boat we had. Ours was only let go due to a death in the family. These are very nice boats. Listed Friday night, sold Sunday Morning. Can't complain about that.
