Hi all, new here, found this forum on the search. Me and the fam are currently touring the great and beautiful Prince Edward Island. My Nautically obsessed father-in-law recently purchased a new ~30ft boat. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated as I am the least nautically savvy, savvy? Are there any protocols to follow or some secret naval code for gifts involving a water vessel?
Humble thank you's in advance.

Welcome! What a nice gesture. A couple of quick thoughts
National flag
Alma matter flag
Find an upholstery shop and get a custom flag made with surname or boat name
Special boat towels embroidered with vessel name
I find gifts that can be used on the boat are always appreciated. Imagination is your only limit.
Let us know what the outcome is! And don’t worry—the resident guru’s will be along shortly

If she has a name, you can customize drinkware and coldster can insulators with the boat name at Yeti.com. If you get drinkware, the magslider lid is a must; you have to order the lid for the wine tumbler separately. If she doesn’t have a name yet, coming up with one can be fun; then you can customize a gift.
