Hello,
I have a R5 Surf and I am in search for the side tow ball for my tower. Does anyone know where I can purchase them.
Thanks in advance.

I checked on getting one installed a couple months back and the parts guy at the dealer said they used to not sell the towballs if they weren't installed from the factory, but he said he would check anyway and I never heard back from him after that.
Not mine, but here's a picture someone else posted of the towball.

Thanks for posting the pic MBSOB.
I also love the speaker surround look of Samson speakers.

I know some people attach the surf rope to the arch, completely on top of the bimini, and it rubs the edge of the bimini which will eventually wear through the material. I was told by the dealer to run the rope through the opening in the bimini to avoid the rubbing. Using the opening in the bimini has worked for me so I never followed up on the towballs from the dealer.

The other use for them is you don't want the surfer directly behind the boat as the prop wash is fairly high and makes it a little higher to get up. You typically want the surfer off to the side. Not a huge issue but does make it easier.

Cool stuff. Surprised the aftermarket world isn't all over this then? Why wouldn't the factory offer this then or make it standard? Might be a business opportunity for us?

Anyone have specs on this?
I recently purchased an R7 Surf and would like to have this made... I own a powder coating company so I have a lot of fabricators as customers where I can have this or really anything made. If I can get a hold of one purchased or borrowed, I can make this & Distribute...

Just ordered a 2021 R5 Surf and it was a $300 option from the dealer here - apparently pretty standard and useful for getting kids to try surfing as it does keep them away from the prop wake which can be a problem for beginners. Can't inc pictures as it won't be delivered until May 2021.

Thanks, yes I am looking for these tower side tow points to help with young surfers. It keeps them on the correct side when getting up. As well keep them out of the white wash.
Anyone know where I can find them to purchase. I am Sure they are a easy install.
Thanks
Tyson
