Lol DustinM.....back in my younger years I spent more time airborn on one of those than i did with the tracks hooked up on the ground....Started riding on an old 1979 Arctic Cat Trailcat and progressed upwards through MANY improvements....last ride was an 800 Mountain Cat....machines now are even a huge improvement over that one with the deeper paddle tracks and suspension but i always had a knack for burying them and the heavier the machines got, the harder it was to get them free. Fun for sure but kids came along and I gave it up...these days I prefer the benefits of the snow once it melts and hits Lake Powell....lol.

I know, we sold those about 6 years ago. I was just razzing you a bit. Now we spend our winters again on the couch or hunting. Sleds did give us something to look forward to in the winter, but my need for speed started getting out of hand.

Yeah, I hear ya. We hunt as well....was actually taking my daughter out last night when that crap hit so hard it was a whiteout and we had to turn the truck around and head back home. She's after her first buck....has the rest of this week through Sunday. I can't believe what new sleds cost these days but couldn't believe the cost on that new R3 of mine either! I've got 2 Yamaha Grizzly 550's like the one in the picture...one set with the plow, the other is just a rider. Also have my original 1995 Yamaha Big Bear 350....still looks brand new 25 years later. Take care of them and they last a long time. I've turned the 350 over to my son to ride...that old stiff arm suspension and my bones don't mix well. Love the newer Grizzly's with the all 4 independent suspension...so much nicer to ride our rough rocky mountain trails....lol.

She looks so happy!

Have you lived in Grand Junction for a while? My wife grew up there and father-in-law still lives there.

I'm 48 now....moved here when I was 4...so been around for a while I suppose. It's home for sure...and close enough to Lake Powell I can be there in 3.5 hours and drinking a beverage on the houseboat. Came from Southwest Missouri...so my dad grew up on Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Grand Lake, Truman...still loves to crappie fish but at 88 doesn't get to go much any more.

Grand Junction has gotten pretty nice over the years. My father in law used to meet us at Bullfrog towing his 5th wheel and boat, but he sold the 5th wheel as it was too much for him at his age.

Do you houseboat out of Halls or Bullfrog? For the first time last year we went to the south end of the lake as it is closer to where the boat is kept and we enjoyed it, but I think I prefer the northern end of the lake better. We used to camp at Hite or Farley until the water got too low.
